VISA APPLICATION

A valid visa is REQUIRED for non-residents of China to attend the conference. Attendees can apply for either a tourist visa (L) or a business/visitor visa (F) for entry. An official invitation letter from the conference organizer is required for the issue of a business/visitor visa. Those who need to apply for a business/visitor visa should complete the registration form, with information of accompanying persons if any.

NoteChina has unilaterally implemented visa exemption policies for ordinary passport holders from several countries. Currently, these policies apply to citizens of Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Australia, and New Zealand. Ordinary passport holders from these countries can enter China without a visa for stays of up to 15 days for purposes including business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit. If you are a citizen of any of the mentioned countries, you can enter China directly with an ordinary passport  to attend the IUTAM Symposium without applying for a visa.
